Kilskyre/Moylagh despite having to make a number of changes from their previous outing managed to field a team on Friday last and emerge victorious over a gallant Drumree third team in this Junior 2 Championship match played at Moylagh.
The hosts were 0.5 to 0.0 up after 12 minutes with points from Kieran Hannon, Ian Donoghue and three from Niall Farrelly. With Farrelly adding three more points Kilskyre/Moylagh led by 0.8 to 0.3 at the break.
Drumree threatened early in the second half with a goal after 3 minutes but a Daire Farrelly goal immediately afterwards restored the hosts 5-point advantage. With Niall Farrelly adding 3 points – 2 from placed balls – together with points from Ciaran Foley and Emmet Hallinan and an acrobatically finished goal from Eric Szymanski the hosts finished 10-point victors. The visitors second half goal came in the 23rd minute from a free.
